A name or place entered in a search tool is sent to the outside provider that operates that feature. The provider processes the query and supplies its response. Hamilton County Criminal History does not keep a separate log of those search terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email may be retained long enough to read and answer it. The message is not shared outside the operating team unless disclosure is legally required.
Data We Gather Automatically
Normal server records collect limited technical facts when a page loads:

- Pages viewed and approximate time on each
- Referring website, when one is reported

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Hamilton County Criminal History does not maintain, build, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It publishes general directions to HCSO, Hamilton County courts, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, and the Tennessee Sex Offender Registry. Visitor data is not assembled into a consumer report or a third-party criminal history. This website is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Information entered there is governed by the selected provider's privacy terms. That company decides how long it keeps data and when it shares data. Review those terms before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to courts, HCSO, Tennessee agencies, legal resources, and outside search tools. Once a visitor leaves this website, the destination's own privacy policy controls. Read it before providing personal information.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and tailor advertisements.

Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be available to:
